On Tuesday, November 5, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released an official confirmation on the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction. The Indian cricket board conformed that the mega auction, which is set to be held across two day, November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will see a total of 1,574 players go under the hammer.
Out of the 1,574 players, 409 overseas players have registered their name for the mega auction, along with 1,165 Indian players. Out of the 409 overseas, for the first time in the history of the tournament, a player from Italy has registered for the upcoming mega auction.
Thomas Draca becomes first Italian player to register for IPL auction
Jack Draca, a 24-year-old Italian cricketer, is the first-ever Italian to register for the IPL auction. The youngster has played four T20Is for the country, making his debut against Luxembourg on January 9, 2024. Moreover, he has also played for Brampton Wolves in Global T20 Canada, a T20 league.
