There’s always someone bringing negativity: Italian footballer hits back after getting trolled for wishing Virat Kohli

Italian footballer Agata Isabella Centasso hit back as she got trolled for wishing modern-day batting icon and former India captain Virat Kohli. Notably, Kohli celebrated his 36th birthday on Tuesday, November 5. Several fans as well as celebrities from across the globe wished the Indian cricketer on his special day, and among them was Italian footballer Agata. Centasso plays for Venezia Calcio 1985 in Serie B, which is a second-division football tournament in Italy. The footballer is a huge Kohli fan and has often displayed her admiration for the cricketer on social media. 

On his 36th birthday, the footballer took to X and wished the legend on his birthday. She posted a picture of herself in Indian jersey and tagged the cricketer while accompanying it with a caption. She wrote, “Happy birthday from a fan in Italy. All the best to you.” The post didn’t go well with Indian fans and they slammed her stating that she takes the name of Kohli only to get attention of Indian fans.

On receiving hate and negativity for her post and wish to Kohli, the footballer didn’t hold herself back and slammed the trollers for the same. Notably, a fan from India with username ‘Sharma ji ka ladka’ had commented on Agata’s post, “you have no clue about cricket or Kohli! Doing it to get likes from highly populated Indians!! Well done!” The footballer came up with a brutal reply and stated that every time she posts something for Kohli, she always receives hate. 

The footballer wrote, “Every time I post something about Virat Kohli or cricket, there’s always someone bringing negativity. I honestly don’t understand why. Namaste.”
