Chennai Super Kings, the five-time IPL champions, retained their core group of experienced players ahead of the mega auction for the 2025 season of the tournament. With CSK CEO confirming MS Dhoni’s participation in IPL 2025 after the IPL Governing Council re-introduced the uncapped rule, he was retained for a prize of INR 4 Crore.
Joining him in the retention list was CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, both of whom have been retained for INR 18 Crore. Along with the trio, CSK have also retained Shivan Dube for INR 12 Crore and Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana for INR 13 Crore price tag, thus totaling to INR 65 Crore. As they now plan to build a strong squad for INR 2025, they would be only left with a price purse of INR 55 Crore. Below is the list of five players retained by Mumbai Indians with their respective salaries.
