WATCH: Police officers beat up fans at Florida-Georgia FBS I game in Jacksonville

A couple of police officers were spotted brutally beating up fans in a shocking clip, which has gone viral on social media platform X from the Florida Gators versus the Georgia Bulldogs game in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) I. At the EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, the violent altercation between police officers and the fans erupted after the reported unruly behaviour of the latter in the stands.

The video, which was 15-second long, had one of the police officers hammering away at a fan with big punches on the stairs, while the other police officer was hitting an elderly man with repeated strikes. As the violence erupted at the EverBank Stadium, some of the spectators nearby were wanting the police officers to stop, while a couple of other cops nearby were trying to stop the other people from getting involved.

Florida Gators suffer defeat against Georgia Bulldogs 34-20 in FBS I game

As per the report from Times Now, it isn’t clear as to what led to the violence between spectators and cops ensuing, but there is speculation on social media about a fan grabbing the belt of the officer, where his gun was kept. As of this writing, there is no information about whether someone was seriously injured or arrested for this violent act in Jacksonville.

Moreover, the FBS I game was completed, and it saw the Georgia Bulldogs getting the better of the Florida Gators 34-20, to register their seventh win in eight in the competition. After being down 6-13 at half-time, the Bulldogs made a big comeback in the contest in the third quarter before steamrolling the Gators in the fourth quarter, to register a convincing win.
