PCB to take strict action against Ramiz Raja after latter’s awkward interview with Shan Masood went viral: Reports

The Pakistan cricket team registered a famous Test series win against England by 2-1 at home recently after being down and out in the longest format of the game for quite some time. The Men in Green made a startling comeback after an innings and 47-run loss in the first Test as they went on to win the next two games comprehensively under skipper Shan Masood. This was a special moment for Pakistan as they won a Test series at home after three years. However, former chief selector of Pakistan Ramiz Raja invited a lot of criticism towards himself for his contentious interview with skipper Shan Masood after the series win. 

During a post-match show in Rawalpindi, Ramiz Raja mocked Shan Masood with some awkward questions despite Pakistan’s series victory. The former Pakistan cricketer asked , “There are two things that you will see. One is how to play on seaming conditions and the other thing is if it is a one-off. How did you achieve this, six losses in a row?” To which Masood replied, “Ramiz bhai, we needed this win. The nation needed this win and I am really happy for Pakistan.”

PCB to take strict action against Ramiz Raja for his disgraceful interview with Shan Masood

During his interview with the Pakistani skipper post series win, Ramiz Raja also mocked Shan Masood for his batting and also asked him how the right-hander in planning to take control of a particular shot. Shan Masood also replied with “Yes, I will be able to control it Ramiz bhai.”

As soon as the interview went viral, it generated an outrage among Pakistan fans and Ramiz Raja may also get in trouble for his remarks. According to the reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are likely to take an action against the former cricketer and commentator for his insulting questions to Shan Masood. The fans also shown their anger on social media towards the former selector for his comments.
