Mongolia registered joint-lowest team total after getting bowled out for 10 runs against Singapore in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub Regional Asia Qualifier A on Thursday, September 5. Ahead of the game, Singapore won the toss and invited Mongolia to bat first. With the ball, Harsha Bharadwaj took six wickets while conceding only three runs in his four-over spell. Apart from him, Akshay Puri took two wickets while Rahul Sheshadri and Ramesh Kalimuthu took one each for Singapore. Thanks to their bowling efforts, Mongolia were bowled out for 10 runs in as many overs.
Before them, Isle of Man were bowled out for the same score of 10 runs against Spain during a T20I match in February 2023. Coming back to the match from earlier today, Singapore chased down the target in just five balls to register a win by nine wickets. For the unversed, Mongolia is among the seven teams (Malaysia, Hong Kong – China, Kuwait, Singapore, Mongolia, Myanmar, and Maldives) which are competing in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub Regional Asia Qualifier A. The tournament started on August 30, and it will conclude on September 10.
Two out of these seven teams are competing to qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia-EAP Final, inching closer to the claiming a spot in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The coveted T20I tournament will be played in both India and Sri Lanka, although the exact schedule is yet to be revealed.

Due to their dismal performance against Singapore, Mongolia are languishing at the bottom of the table with four losses in as many games in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub Regional Asia Qualifier A. Hong Kong is sitting at the top of the table with four wins in as many games. Kuwait has won the same number of games but are on the second spot due to net run rate difference.
The tournament is being hosted in Malaysia. As mentioned before, all these teams are competing for a spot in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Among these teams, only Hong Kong has played the tournament before, way back in 2014.
