The second day of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 Round 1 is here. Team 8Bit dominated the opening day, securing the top spot in the overall standings with 60 points. Silly Esports and Global Esports claimed the second and third positions, respectively. Day 2 will feature six matches across Erangel, Sanhok, Miramar, and Vikendi. Group 1 and Group 2 will play their remaining three matches of the week on Wednesday, August 21, completing their total of six matches in Week 1. The top-ranking teams will have a better chance to secure their spots in Round 2. However, all teams will get six more matches in Week 2, where the groups will be reshuffled to form new matchups.
Team 8Bit, featuring talented players like Mighty, Mac, Aditya, and Juicy, performed exceptionally well on the first day. A solid performance in their remaining matches could almost guarantee their advancement to the next round. They currently lead the standings with 60 points in three matches.
Global Esports, known for their strong firepower with players like Beast, Ninjaboi, Mavi, Arclyn, and Slug, are currently in third place with 37 points. They’ll be aiming to secure more points on Day 2 to improve their standings.
Meanwhile, popular teams like Team Z, RIP Mizo Gaming, and Medal Esports need to make a strong comeback on Day 2. Otherwise, they’ll have to wait for Week 2, where competition will be even tougher as the groups are reshuffled and every team fights to qualify.
