Indian para-badminton player Krishna Nagar requested support after visa of his coach was rejected for Paris ahead of the Paralympics 2024. Nagar will be eyeing to defend his title after winning gold in the Men’s singles SH6 category at the Tokyo Games in 2021.
13 Indian para-shuttlers have successfully qualified for the upcoming Paris Paralympics. These athletes will be participating in nine different events during the badminton competition at the Paris Paralympics taking place from August 28 to September 8.

But ahead of the 2024 Games, Krishna Nagar took to X (formerly Twitter) and requested help from the French Embassy, Minister of External Affairs and others. Nagar posted, “Urgent: My personal coach’s visa for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games was rejected. Their role is crucial for my success. I’ve requested a reconsideration from the French embassy. Any support or advice is appreciated.”
