Week 5 of the Esports World Cup 2024 kicks off with Apex Legends action. A total of 40 teams will compete for a $2,000,000 prize pool over five match days, divided into two phases: the bracket stage and the finals. The tournament runs from July 31 to August 4, 2024. EWC 2024 Apex Legends Format
Group Stage:
40 teams will be split into two even groups of 20 teams each and compete in a series of 10 games. The top nine teams from each group will advance to the Finals. Teams placed 10th to 19th in each group will move on to the Last Chance stage, while the 20th-placed teams will be eliminated.
Last Chance:
20 teams will compete in a series of 10 games. The top two teams from this stage will advance to the Finals. Teams placed third to 20th will be eliminated.
Finals:
The Finals will take place on August 4th. The 20 remaining teams will compete in the Match Point Format. The first team to hit 60 points and then secure a first place finish in the next matches will be crowned the winner. The remaining teams will be ranked based on their total points in the series. The 18 teams that advanced from the Group Stage will start the Finals with Advance Starting Points based on their placements in the Winners Bracket.
