On Saturday, July 27, India’s one of the top medal contenders, Manu Bhaker qualified for the Women’s 10m air pistol final at the Paris Olympics 2024. The India shooter, finished with the scores of 97, 97, 98, 96, 96, and 96 to earn the qualification in the final of the event.

Bhaker, finished at third place after she maintained her lead at the second place in the last few rounds of the event. Bhaker, who is the youngest Indian women to win a gold medal at the Youth at an ISSF World Cup, started the qualification with a 97 in Series 1. She kept herself in the race with another 97. The 22-year-old just got better with her score as she dropped a 98 in Series 3, followed by a 96 in Series 4 to continue at third place.
The Indian youngster continued to dominate as she finished with an aggregate score of 580, including 27 inner circle 10s, the most by any shooter in the qualification round.
Rhythm Sangwan finishes 15th; fails to qualify for final in women’s 10m air pistol
On the contrary to Manu Bhaker, Rhythm Sangwan finished at 5th place in the women’s 10m air pistol qualification round. She failed to make in the top eight as he scores aggregated to 573 with her individual rounds scores reading, 97, 92, 97, 96, 95 and 96.
Sangwan joins the list of Indian shooters, including the men’s 10m air pistol shooters, Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Singh Cheema and the Indian mixed team including the likes of Ramita Jindal, Arjun Bhabuta, Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh.
