In a star-studded opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024, the Great Britain team flagbearers were seen recreating Titanic’s iconic pose. Tom Delay and Helen Grover, who led the Great Britain contingent in the opening ceremony in river Seine in Paris, were seen bringing up the iconic pose from the top Hollywood movie, Titanic.
While Delay stood in the front with his arms outstretched while Grover had her arms around him as she held the flag. The moment was only shared by the Great Britain team, it also went viral with fans sharing their thoughts on the same.

Four-time Olympic medallist, Delay will contest in his fifth Olympics after his long wait for a gold at the Tokyo 2020 in the men’s 10m synchro. On being opted to be Great Britain’s flagbearer, Delay said, “I am extremely proud. Being able to be flagbearer at the opening ceremony is a dream come true.”
D elay is also set to become the first British diver to compete in five Games, having come out of retirement at Tokyo 2020. Meanwhile, Grover, a two-time Olympics medallist is competing at her fourth Games. She hailed this opportunity as “the biggest honour of my life”.
