WATCH: CM Punk to face Drew McIntrye at WWE SummerSlam after getting medically cleared to compete

CM Punk arrived at the Resch Center in Green Bay on WWE Raw to break the massive news about getting medically cleared to compete inside the squared circle. The Second City Saviour also wanted to get his pound of flesh from Drew McIntrye but he will have to wait until SummerSlam after the Raw General Manager, Adam Pearce, made their match official for the upcoming PLE.

After announcing that his surgeon medically cleared him to wrestle, CM Punk called out Drew McIntrye on WWE Raw, wanting a piece of him. But when Scottish Psychopath told him about not getting in the ring, CM Punk went after him on the entrance ramp before the officials stopped them from getting physical.

Adam Pearce makes his way to the arena to announce that Drew McIntrye is reinstated, and since CM Punk is medically cleared to compete, they will take each other on in a one-on-one match at WWE SummerSlam. The Raw General Manager also remarked that if McIntrye and Punk lay a finger on each other before the upcoming PLE, then their match will be off, and the man who strikes first, will be suspended indefinitely.

He also spoke about the match needing a referee, and it led to Seth Rollins making his way into the arena in mint green crop duster. Rollins shook hands with Pearce before talking about a guy who would be perfect to put Punk and McIntyre, and it’s none other than him.

With that, the highly anticipated one-on-one match between CM Punk and Drew McIntrye during WWE SummerSlam at the Cleveland Browns Stadium, will have the presence of Seth Rollins as the special guest referee.
