WATCH: Yashasvi Jaiswal becomes first batter to score 13 runs off first ball of a T20I

In the first over of the fifth and final match of the series between Zimbabwe and India,  Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first batter to score 13 runs off the first ball in an international T20I. The left-handed batter smashed a six off a no-ball to start the match before putting the free-hit ball out of the park at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.

After winning the toss for the first time in the five-match T20I series, Sikandar Raza, the captain of Zimbabwe, chose to field first. His decision paid rich dividends with the Zimbabwean bowlers managing to pick the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal, the captain Shubman Gill, and Abhishek Sharma inside the powerplay.

It led to Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag stitching together a vital stand of 65 runs for the fourth wicket, to bring India back into the contest. Riyan Parag scored 22 off 24 before he got dismissed while trying to take down the leg spinner Brandon Mavuta.

During the early stages of this partnership, Sanju Samson smashed the leg spinner Brandon Mavuta straight down the ground for a colossal 110m six, to get his innings into high gear. He scored 58 off 45 with one four and four maximums, his second fifty in his international T20I career.

With some decent contributions at the death of Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh, the Indian cricket team reach a formidable score of 167/6 in their allotted overs.
