KSI, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, is set to face Slim Albaher and Anthony Taylor in a 1 vs 2 bout, which will headline the Misfits Boxing 17 event at the 3Arena in Dublin on August 31. The 31-year-old will return to action after suffering his first professional loss by a split decision against Tommy Fury last year.
As per the statement from Misfits Boxing, which is founded by KSI, he is set to fight both Slim Albaher and Anthony Taylor inside the squared circle, potentially in a WWE style tag team contest. Following the big announcement, KSI shared his thoughts about the match, talking about how pleased he was to see his opponents accept the challenge.
KSI was quoted as saying, “I can’t tell you how pleased I am that both Slim and Anthony Taylor accepted this challenge, because I wasn’t sure they had the minerals to do so. Both of these guys have been on my case for years and now, on August 31 in Dublin, they are set to get what they asked for.”
Notably, it has been revealed that KSI was looking to secure a boxing match against Jake Paul after the latter had to pull out of a fight against Mike Tyson this summer. Although things didn’t quite work out in this regard since Jake Paul chose to compete against Mike Perry on July 20, at the Amalie Arena in Tampa.
